The best shot I could Get on the US side of the falls.
I am a waterfalls addict and when told I was going on a road trip to Buffalo I knew instantly where I was heading for a side trip.
Of course I took the pictures from the New York side and everyone felt the need to tell me that the better pictures were to be had from the Canadian side. You can walk into Canada with no problems but coming back you need to have a pass port to get back into the US.
Please take a good look at the ones I zoomed in and took of Canada. I searched and searched for Misty but could not see her, lol.
You really got some great pictures of the falls, Mac. I have never seen it from that angle. I've been there twice and both times were over on the Canadian side.
ReplyDeleteI hope you won't mind if I swipe a couple of these.
ReplyDeleteMac you should have tied a rope to your waste and to the rock on the left there...well maybe a bit of a bigger rock then flung yaself over the edge.
ReplyDeleteThis is an awesome shot Mac.
ReplyDeleteIn this shot you can see Hydro Canada thru the mist.
ReplyDeleteooooooo I get the feeling you was leaning wayyyyyyy over for this one. Awesome.
ReplyDeleteBOY OH BOY this is a hum dinger Mac ya even got the Maid of the Mist in it.
ReplyDeleteYep that'd be the Maid of the Mist...Fantabulous picture Mac. It's nice to see from the American side.
ReplyDeleteIs that a log or is it the Barge?...Must be a log cuz isn't the barge up river further stuck on a rock?
ReplyDeleteAmazing what is here on this earth for us all to see. I bet people living close by has a time of hearing much because of all that water going over the fall's.
ReplyDeleteI think it's just stupid to have to have a passport to get back in the states. Now days you have such a long wait to even get a passport. Why can't they just accept the drivers license or a birth certificate? Stupid just stupid!
ReplyDeleteAMEN Judith. A money grabber.
ReplyDeleteI've looked at them all a dozen times ...LOL... and I think this is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI did see that barge that was down by the bridge Misty. I was wondering how long it had been there.
ReplyDeleteLol I thought for sure Misty was going to tell you to try and jump to the Canadian side....glad you didn't "fling" yourself over anything....would have missed seeing the pics, lol.
ReplyDeleteTuesday August 6th 1918.....a long time eh.

ReplyDeleteWOW GREAT pics Mac....one day Id like to get there....thanks for sharing.....
ReplyDeleteGreat photos Mac...really an awesome sight! If you like falls you would love my area...nothing as mighty as the Niagara but we make up for it in beauty:):)
ReplyDeleteDixie, you have to share some pictures of your falls. I enjoyed seeing the Niagara Falls but I still think I would better enjoy the ones in my hometown. We had a series of 4 different sets of falls and excellent swimming and diving locations off them and excellent fishing around them.
ReplyDeleteI''l try to round up some of the local Fall here in my area to show you Mac...in the Fall they are spectacular:):)
ReplyDeleteAmazing..I dream of seeing all this someday too. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteVery cool pics Mac. Your just lucky the Canadians aren't building a wall to keep us out. lol
ReplyDeleteWhew
ReplyDeleteDo any boats leave from the American side?
ReplyDeleteIs this where one gets into a barrel and falls down???
ReplyDeleteJim, in one of the shots I took looking down into the gorge you can see people on the Canadian side getting onto the Maid of the Mist. On the opposite side The Americans were climbing aboard a boat Maybe the Maiden of The Mist, lol. There was actually a viewing platform behind me that I would have had to pay about 20.00 to walk on. From the tower you had to either take steps or an elevator down to the bottom of the gorge to board the boat.
ReplyDeleteAvoids Zee and her barrel trap.
